The "cherished item" poems

These poems were written in mid-May.  The first stanza is a "you can take away" verse.  The second is "I can do without."  The third is "I can live without."

You can take away my bed,
You can take away my preacher,
But PLEASE don’t take away
My 3rd grade teacher.

I can do without my house,
I can do without reach,
But I can’t do without
My really great teacher.

I can live without water,
I can live without leech,
But I can’t live without
My really nice teacher.
